The Victorian Government offers various scholarships to support you with the cost of studying and living.
When you study an undergraduate secondary teaching course at Deakin, you may be eligible to receive up to $18,000 as part of the support provided by the Victorian Government to become a secondary teacher. Eligible undergraduate courses include:

The Vocational Education and Training (VET) employment-based pathway program covers the tuition cost of the Graduate Certificate of Adult, Vocational Education and Training units. It is available for those interested in a career change to teach VET to Victorian Government secondary students, and pathway to the Master of Applied Learning and Teaching (Secondary).

The Victorian Government now has grants available to support pre-service teachers completing a teaching placement in an eligible regional, remote or specialist Victorian government school.
Scholarships of $40,000 per student are available for full-time undergraduate initial teacher education (ITE) students ($10,000 per year for a four-year qualification) and $20,000 for full-time postgraduate ITE students ($10,000 per year for a two-year qualification).
These scholarships aim to attract high-achieving students into the teaching profession and are available over five rounds from 2024 to 2028, with up to 1,000 scholarships offered per year.
