My exchange semester at the University of Roehampton in London was an unforgettable experience!
I really wanted to experience student life overseas whilst also being exposed to London life and culture. Roehampton gave me the best of both worlds as it was in such a great location not too far away from Central London and all the iconic spots, whilst also being in a really nice pocket where there was lots of nature and even a nature reserve with deer only a 5-minute walk away from campus.
The university was very diverse but at the same time super inclusive, I was meeting and talking to people from different parts of UK and the world every day it felt like!
The campus itself has rich history and was quite tranquil, and it felt like I wasn't living in the big city at times which was really nice, but then when my friends and I stepped out of campus we were right back in London which was really cool.
There were so many opportunities to get involved with heaps of societies and activities planned throughout the semester, I personally enjoyed playing tennis, and we luckily got to play at Wimbledon qualifying courts which was pretty surreal.
It was a really special experience from the academics, to the social life, exposure to different cultures and of course the London life, and I would do it all over again if I could!
