Professional development for sessional staff

To claim for sessional staff professional development please complete the below form.  For eligibility – please refer below.

Eligibility criteria and how to claim

1. To be eligible to claim payment for the 4 hours you must be employed for teaching delivery over the academic year.
2. Teaching delivery is defined as being employed as a sessional under any of the following academic casual rates:

   151/1, 151/2, 151/3	160/1	152/1	154/1
   158/1	157/1	178/1, 178/2	161/1, 161/2
   155/1, 155/2	158/2	179/1, 179/2

3. The 4 hours per year allocated to PD must include: 1 hr of Human Resources compliance activity, and the remaining 3 hours can be selected to suit individual specific needs
4. You must provide evidence that you attended/completed the session
5. This form will be automatically submitted to the People Services who will authorise payment**

**Payment will occur in one of the upcoming pay cycles or as directed by People Services. Please address any queries to peopleconnect@deakin.edu.au.
