Plan your compulsory WIL unit early
Students who commenced their Bachelor of Laws from 2019, must complete 1 credit point of WIL (practical experience) from the below list. Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) is not available for any Law WIL units.

Work on actual legal matters in a community legal service under the supervision of qualified legal practitioners.

Community Legal Internship provides you with the opportunity to undertake an internship with an external organisation for 15 days.

Mooting is the closest experience to working in a courtroom that you can have at law school. Develop skills in advocacy, problem solving, legal research, persuasion, collaboration and presentation.

Extend your skills and knowledge by exploring the relationship between theory, practice and the legal profession, through the lens of an externally recognised expert in the field.
Enrolled in an older version of Bachelor of Laws?
If you are enrolled in an older version of the Bachelor of Laws (M312.1), you are required to undertake professional experience to complete your course requirements.
