Stress-Less Zone, mental health trivia, creative activities and giveaways!
Mind Matters is Deakin’s mental health and wellbeing movement. Running throughout Week 4 (Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August) Mind Matters Week offers you helpful information, strategies and resources to enhance your mental wellbeing.
Join us on campus to kick back and have some fun across a range of fun activities!
Our Stress-Less Zone will have plenty of comfortable seating, music and wellbeing activities for you to relax and unwind with your fellow students. We’ll play around and get creative with journalling, colouring pages, origami, board games, drawing paper and some sensory/fidget toys.
Our Wellbeing Ambassadors will be running our Mental Health Trivia with questions relating to where you land on our spinning wheel! We’ll learn more about mental health regarding symptoms and solutions, statistics and mental illness, and where resources and support can be found. If you take part, you’ll also receive a ticket for a free acai bowl - bonus!
Our Ambassadors will also demo on iPads how you can make the most of the DeakinWELLBEING app. If you participate in using the journalling feature on the day, you will be eligible to enter our DeakinWELLBEING app competition for a chance to win a prize pack comprising a Deakin hoodie, beanie, Keep Cup, notebook, gratitude journal, cookbook, $50 student gift card and $25 worth of campus food vouchers!
While you’re there, make sure you also check the incredible pieces in our Student Art Exhibition.
