Respect at Uni Week art competition

Respect is more than just a word – it’s an action, an attitude, and a way of life. But what does it mean to you? Is it kindness in a shared space? A voice that’s heard? Standing up for what’s right? Whatever respect looks like in your world, we want to see it – expressed through your creativity!

We're inviting Deakin students and staff to submit an original creative piece that captures the essence of respect. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just love to dabble, this is your chance to share your perspective. Think bold, think personal, think meaningful!

How to Enter

  • Create an original artwork reflecting What does respect mean to you?
  • Submit your piece via the form below.
  • Choose your format: square digital image (2000px x 2000px) for social media, digital poster (landscape 1920px x 1080px or portrait 1080px x 1920px), or short video or animation (1080px x 1920px, max 30 seconds)
  • Include a short description (max 100 words) explaining your inspiration.

One student and one staff winner will each receive a $250 Woolworths gift card – because respect and rewards go hand in hand. A panel of four Deakin staff members will select the winning pieces.

Submissions close Sunday 6 April – so get creating!
