Graduate research orientation

Welcome to graduate research at Deakin University!

The Researcher Development Academy (RDA) are here to support you throughout your candidature and  support your academic journey.

Make a successful start to your graduate research degree at Deakin by attending one of our orientation programs.

Our orientation is for all commencing graduate researchers, including Masters by Research, DPsych, and PhD candidates at Deakin. Completing a graduate research program is a significant undertaking, so set yourself up for success by joining one of our orientation programs to demystify your Deakin program. This is a chance to understand the research environment at Deakin, find out about the comprehensive support available from key services including the library, and most importantly, to make connections and meet your fellow commencing graduate researchers.

We will also showcase the range of workshops and seminars especially designed for graduate researchers, as well as discussions around supervision and your research impact.

The orientation program is offered at multiple campuses as well as online. Please register for the session that is most suitable for you.
