Your time at Deakin begins with Orientation: explore your new campus, learn about our culture and community, and commence your studies with confidence.

Orientation at Deakin is an exciting program of free sessions including campus tours, activities, food and beverage pop-ups, information from support services, and opportunities to make friends. Experience our campuses come alive at DUSA's OFest carnival, and prepare for study by meeting your course coordinators. We can't wait to meet you and welcome you to Deakin!

  • Prepare Week (including International Student Welcome): Monday 17 – Friday 21 February
  • OWeek: Monday 24 – Friday 28 February

DUSA OFest

OFest is a carnival day run by our student association, DUSA. Expect games, activities, DJs, food trucks, giveaways and student club stalls.

Course information sessions

Your course information session is run by your faculty teaching staff and will explain everything you need to know about your studies.

Campus tours

Attend a campus tour to explore Deakin with some students who know their way around! They will show you where to study, eat, relax and get assistance.
