Undertake a professional work experience placement as part of your degree and kickstart your future career.

As a GIFT City Campus student, you are able to undertake Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as part of your course. This takes the form of an internship or placement in a professional setting that corresponds to a Deakin WIL unit. It is normally completed in your second year of study.

Please note

• You are not able self-enrol in a WIL unit. Your placement first needs to be approved by our WIL team. Enrolment in the unit is normally the final step.
• You should plan your WIL placement well in advance. Although your course plan shows your WIL unit/s scheduled for your second year of study, we encourage you engage with the GIFT Student Central team for placement support in your first trimester of study.
