As a Deakin student, you receive your own Deakin email address.

All official correspondence from the University will come to your Deakin email address, so it’s essential you check your email every few days so you don’t miss an important news item or notification. You will also receive unit-related communication via email which may be important for an assessment or to pass your unit, as well as other updates that may be critical to your enrolment or the payment of your fees.

You can access your Deakin email in several different ways. You can:

• use DeakinSync (the ‘email’ button is in the top right-hand corner)
• use Microsoft Outlook on your computer or your phone (simply download the program/app and log in using your Deakin username and password, or access the Outlook Web App in a browser)
• You can also learn about forwarding your Deakin email to another preferred email account.
