Justice of the Peace
If you require a statutory declaration or certified documents, you can use the services of a Justice of the Peace.
A Justice of the Peace is someone authorised to act as an independent and objective witness to documents used for official or legal purposes. They can:
- attest to the execution of a document
- witness a statutory declaration
- witness an affidavit for use in court
- certify true copies of an original document
- certify a person's identity.
We have a campus signing station at the Burwood Campus where you can go to have your documents certified. Justice of the Peace volunteers are located at the Library on the following days:
