What is Open Day?

Deakin Open Day is your chance to explore your future campus and get a glimpse into uni life. Attend course and general information sessions, meet your future teachers, chat with current students and tour our state-of-the-art facilities. There's no better way to discover everything Deakin has to offer and experience firsthand what sets us apart.

How do I plan for Open Day?

Once you’ve registered, you can start planning your action-packed Open Day with our online planner. Browse all events or use the filters to find what interests you most – course and general information sessions, tours or experiences. On the day, simply log in using your phone and find your plan all in one place.

Where do I go on the day?

Use our planner to make the most of your Open Day experience. You can browse all sessions and plan your day ahead of time. We recommend starting at our career and course information centres or booths where you can chat to teachers and experts. Alternatively, join a campus tour, which depart every 30 minutes.

What are the accessibility considerations on campus?

Accessible parking is available on all campuses with a valid Australian Disability Parking Permit. An Auslan interpreter can assist you on the day across all campuses in information sessions, tours and one-on-one course conversations. A calming, comfortable and private reset room is available at each campus library to support anyone who finds the loud and crowded environment overwhelming.

How do I get to campus on the day?

You can get to Deakin by public transport, including train, tram and bus, or free parking is available at all four campuses on Open Day. Plus, a free shuttle bus will be running every 30 minutes between Geelong Waurn Ponds and Geelong Waterfront, so you can check out what both campuses have to offer on the same day.
