Reading nook

Located in our Victorian campus libraries, our Reading nook collection provides a curated selection of popular print titles, including bestsellers, light non-fiction such as biographies and travelogues, and graphic novels.

Purpose

• Enhance student learning experiences and recreational reading
• Serve as a 'bridging collection' to introduce students to the Library
• Support overseas students and IELTS preparation
• Cross-promote initiatives such as author visits and book clubs

Collection acquisition

The selection and review of materials for the Reading nook collection is undertaken by the Collections team as the collection is limited in size. The library will not accept donation of titles for the Reading nook. Titles within the collection will not be duplicated across campuses and will exclude literary classics and poetic works which are collected under the library’s literature profile.
