Laboratory Science Work Experience

This program is designed for Year 10 students who are interested in science, giving them an opportunity to experience laboratory science in a hands-on environment.

Program focus

A weeklong work experience program offered to high-achieving Year 10 students who are passionate about science, preferably in molecular biology/cell science. Students will experience laboratory science in a hands-on and demonstrative environment. The program will include participation in micro-molecular biological techniques, invertebrate and vertebrate biology, chemistry practicals, tracking and mapping using GPS/GIS, ecological survey techniques and more.

Capacity: capped at 36 students (2 per school)
Year level: Year 10
