Meet the Faculty of Health Dean
The Faculty of Health has a team of more than 50 people, led by Executive Dean, Deakin Distinguished Professor Rachel Huxley. Rachel was appointed to the role of Executive Dean for the Faculty of Health at Deakin University in 2019. Prior to her appointment, she held senior academic roles in several Australian universities.
Professor Huxley is an epidemiologist by background with an international reputation in understanding how risk factors and health outcomes are impacted by bias and inequity. Rachel has worked in research institutions and universities in the UK and US and holds honorary appointments at the University of Oxford and at the George Institute for Global Health, affiliated with University of NSW, Sydney.
