Get active with Sugar Beat
Designed for people with pre-diabetes and diabetes, Sugar Beat is a group program that provides lifestyle planning, exercise programs and the chance to make new friends.
At the Deakin Clinical Exercise Centre (DCEC) we aim to help improve health outcomes and quality of life for real clients. Based at our Melbourne Burwood Campus, clinical exercise physiology students and our team utilise cutting-edge laboratory techniques to enable people to live healthier lives.
Depending on your needs, we can tailor exercise programs using our purpose-built facilities or use what’s available to you in your home or community. You can work with us one-on-one or join a group program.
The clinic is in operation during some of our practical classes, so while the students are in there learning, they're really immersed in that clinic environment the whole time.
