Content
This unit introduces students to emerging challenges and opportunities across a breath of science and technology contexts. Students will learn theoretical knowledge and practical approaches to address emerging challenges. The student will learn how to identify and resolve various issues relevant to the application, implementation and deployment of emerging technology solutions. The unit will provide opportunity for the student to identify an emerging challenge in an area of their choice and formulate a justified case study approach to the topic, documenting critically the issue, social/economic impacts, and develop a proposal to address the issue and further the development or knowledge and/or practical solutions. The unit will also equip students with leadership skills and knowledge to evaluate the impact of emerging technology solutions in organisational and societal contexts for reliability, usefulness, and values.
