This unit provides students with the skills to examine, analyse and critically evaluate the role which human resource management plays in managing the rewards and performance of individuals and groups in organisations. The first part of the unit focuses on performance and the second part on reward. The unit considers performance appraisals as just one aspect of performance management and equips students with the skills to construct performance and rewards strategies for organisations in both domestic and international contexts.
