Students will on average spend 150 hours over the trimester undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit. This will include online content, independent learning, online problem-based exercises, and peer-interaction and discussions.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

This unit is part of the MBA (Global) program and is restricted to online international students who reside outside Australia. Students must be enrolled in the MBA (Global) delivered via upGrad in order to enrol in this unit.

Content

This unit explores design thinking as a practice for identifying and developing innovation opportunities in a range of business and social contexts. It exposes students to the key approaches and tools of design thinking, including techniques for understanding the problem context, ideation (both individually and collaboratively), building personal and team creative confidence, and approaches to solving wicked problems. This unit will develop the basis for innovative and creative thinking in students and develop confidence for students to think and communicate innovatively.

Hurdle requirement

Hurdle requirement: Achieve at least 40% of the marks available on each assessment to evidence a minimum proficiency in the aligned discipline learning outcomes included in this unit.
