Content
This unit will cover approaches to assessing, preventing and controlling environmental hazards that pose human health and safety risks. To understand environmental hazards, use of environmental health data, including toxicology and ecology will be employed. The unit comprises the study of key national and international environmental health agencies, as well as regulatory programs, guidelines and authorities that control environmental health. This unit will frame health protection within the fields of public health, planetary health, OneHealth, and EcoHealth to further understand the challenges being faced in the Anthropocene era.
