Content
This unit introduces students to the scientific process and data analysis techniques, essential for the daily work of sports scientists. Students will explore various stages of the scientific process, from conducting a literature review to statistical test selection, with practical examples tailored to sports science contexts. Formative and summative assessments will guide students in applying research methodologies and program evaluation skills, while feedback aids in refinement. Students will gain proficiency in data management, statistical analysis, and interpretation. Students will develop skills across diverse media formats, including reports and infographics, to effectively communicate findings to key partners and end-users such as athletes, coaches, and managers. This unit will prepare students for impactful contributions in the field of sports science through evidence-based research and evaluation.
