Study commitment

Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Scheduled learning activities - campus

1 x 3 hour lecture and 1 x 3 hour seminar per fortnight.
The majority of these lectures and seminars will be on-campus (with a maximum of 2 lectures and 2 seminars held online).

Content

This unit is concerned with the development of practical skills required to deliver individual and group-based interventions within the workplace. These skills include collecting and integrating information, then selecting and implementing appropriate intervention strategies. EAP intervention counselling skills will also be developed. Intervention strategies and skills to be learnt relate to topics such as team functioning, and dark tetrad personalities at work.
