Study commitment | Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit. This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site. |

Content
This unit comprises the first component of undertaking an individual research project and preparation of a research thesis related to nursing and nursing practice. In this unit, you are required to describe the background to your study and complete a comprehensive literature review of the existing research evidence in the cognate area to identify the science/research gap and determine the research question/s and/or hypothesis to be tested. Using this information you will, in collaboration with your supervisor/s, develop a draft outline of your research proposal.
