Content
HBS345 is an online unit involving students from Nursing, Dietetics, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Optometry, Medical Imaging and Medicine.
Students will explore the nature, purpose and benefits of effective collaborative practice, along with key competency domains of collaborative practice such as role clarification and negotiation, team communication and team differences/ disagreements processing.
Students will also work in interprofessional teams to learn with, from and about each other as they work together on the assessment and management of health problems experienced by simulated patients, clients or communities. Using online team meetings, student teams will develop relevant team documents for complex scenarios.
Students will also apply their understanding of collaborative practice to critique collaborative practice they have observed in placement/practicum settings.
