Content

This unit explores how trauma affects academic engagement and learning. The unit equips you to understand the relationship between traumatic experiences and learning difficulties, social interactions, and behavioural issues of children and adolescents. This unit explores the behavioural manifestations of trauma-impacted students, how trauma affect school engagement and learning, how school disciplinary policies frame the effects of trauma and why trauma-responsive teaching is necessary.
