Content
This unit will introduce students to key ideas and approaches in writing for children. Students will select a genre in which to write a piece of creative fiction such as fantasy, the school story or romance. They will frame their understanding of contemporary genre conventions by analysing a selection of children's and young adult fiction and utilising this context in the production of their own creative output.
