Content

How does communication work in an increasingly complex media world? How do media messages impact us and shape our identities, and what do professional communicators need to keep in mind when engaging diverse audiences across multiple media platforms? In this unit you will learn how communication practices shape meaning, with an emphasis on present-day media industry contexts. You will be introduced to a wide range of concepts and theoretical approaches, applying these through flexible assessment tasks that enable the development of essential academic and professional skills. Throughout the unit, you will be encouraged to orient your study of communication concepts to align with your personal interests and your professional aspirations.
