The promoter of the Connect and Win Competition is: Deakin University ABN 56 721 584 203 of 221 Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria, 3125 (Deakin). This competition is subject to the following trade promotion permit- SA Licence No. T23/1994. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these T&C's and entries must comply with the T&C's to be valid. This competition is free to enter and is open to all persons over the age of 13 who reside in the Australian states of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania only who complete all relevant details in the above registration form between 12 February 2024 and 30 November 2024 in the manner set out in these T&C's. Entrants may only enter this competition once. Late, incomplete, multiple entries or those with remarks deemed offensive will be invalid. Deakin accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries. Employees of Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition. This competition commences at 9.00 am AEDT on Monday 12 February 2024 and closes at 11.59 pm AEDT on Saturday 30 November 2024. One prize will be drawn monthly on the following dates and times between March 2024 and November 2024: Friday 29 March 2024 at 10am AEDT, Tuesday 30 April 2024 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 30 May 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 28 June 2024 at 10am AEDT, Tuesday 30 July 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 30 August 2024 at 10am AEDT, Monday 30 September 2024 at 10am AEDT, Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 10am AEDT, 1 December 2024 at 10am AEDT. Entrants will be eligible for one monthly prize within the month they entered the competition draw. There are nine monthly prizes in total, one allocated per month between March 2024 and November 2024. Winners will be drawn randomly on the last Friday of each month to determine the previous month's winner. Winners will be drawn by Deakin Marketing Division staff. There are nine grand prizes in total, to be drawn in the following order: 1. One $500 Red Balloon gift card; 2. One Beats headphones, $299; 3. $1000 VISA gift cards; 4. One $1000 JB Hi-Fi gift card; 5.One Apple MacBook Air, $1267; 6. One $1000 VISA gift card; 7. One $500 Iconic gift card; 8. One $200 Uber Eats gift card; 9. One UE MegaBoom 3, $244. The total prize pool for the prizes is valued at $6010. Nine winners will be drawn randomly, with prizes awarded in draw order at the offices of the Marketing Division at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria. Winners will be drawn randomly by Deakin Marketing Division staff by physically drawing entries in the presence of an independent witness. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize. Entrants must complete the competition registration either in person at commercial expos, school visits, or Deakin events or online via https://www.deakin.edu.au/connect-and-win-2024. Entrants must include their name, email address and mobile telephone number. By entering the competition, entrants agree that they are over the age of 18 years, or if under the age of 18 years, have their parent's or legal guardian's consent to enter the competition. Winners will be notified by phone or email. If the prize winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of the draw date, a re-draw will be conducted on the following days between April 2024 and December 2024: Tuesday 30 April 2024 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 30 May 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 28 June 2024 at 10am AEDT, Tuesday 30 July 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 30 August 2024 at 10am AEDT, Monday 30 September 2024 at 10am AEDT, Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 29 November 2024 at 10am AEDT, Monday 16 December 2024 at 10am AEDT. If a monthly prize winner does not claim a prize within 14 days of Deakin attempting to notify them, they will forfeit the prize and Deakin may conduct a re-draw for that prize on the following days between April 2024 and December 2024: Tuesday 30 April 2024 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 30 May 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 28 June 2024 at 10am AEDT, Tuesday 30 July 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 30 August 2024 at 10am AEDT, Monday 30 September 2024 at 10am AEDT, Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 10am AEDT, Friday 29 November 2024 at 10am AEDT, Monday 16 December 2024 at 10am AEDT. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation. Deakin will send the prizes by post to an Australian address nominated by the winner. Deakin will not be liable for any loss or damage to the prize when it is in the possession of the postal service provider. Personal information provided to Deakin by entrants will be used to send entrants information about Deakin's activities and to conduct the draw, notify the winner and publish the winner's name. For these purposes, Deakin may also provide this personal information to its consultants. You are not required to provide the information requested, however if the information is not provided, Deakin may not be able to provide you with information about activities at Deakin or to register you for the draw. Deakin University is collecting your personal information on this form to record your details to enable Deakin to send you information about Deakin and its activities. Deakin will also enter you into the Connect & Win competition, using your personal information to select the winner and contact you if you have won. You are not required to provide the information requested, however if the information is not provided, Deakin will not be able to communicate with you or register you for the draw. Deakin manages personal information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal information, in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
