Deakin wins international digital transformation award

Deakin University has won an award recognising its achievements in embracing the rapid pace of digital change.
Awarded by IDG Enterprise, a media technology company incorporating CIO, Computerworld, ITworld and others, the 2017 Digital Edge 50 award is part of the upcoming AGENDA17 conference.
The University was one of 50 award recipients announced this week, and will be honoured in Florida in March 2017.
Anne McCrory, Digital Edge program chair and Group VP, Customer Experience and Operations, IDG Enterprise Events, said she was impressed by the scale and complexity of the projects and business processes that the award recognised.
“Their adoption of agile, extreme programming and completely reworked business processes show how even the most traditional businesses can go big with digital with the right vision and leadership.”
