Our student services and resources are designed to cover every area of uni life – study, work and play.
Student wellbeing
Your health and wellbeing is important to us – physically, mentally and spiritually. We have a range of services to help both students and staff stay healthy and safe, including medical centres, multifaith rooms, counselling services and disability support services.
Clubs and societies
One of the best ways to meet new people and immerse yourself in uni life is to join a club or society. From sport, health and personal development to religious, political and course-specific groups, there's more than 120 of them to choose from.

Childcare
On-campus childcare means you can get to every class on time. The centre is open to children of students and staff, as well as children from the local area, though waiting lists apply.
Safety and security
We take safety very seriously at all our campuses with 24/7 security officers and a SafeZone app for your phone.

Not only a great space to study but a hub of infinite physical and digital resources, including our helpful and dedicated library staff.
Your commute
Public transport
The most direct journey to this campus is by tram: the #75 tram stops right out the front! (Stop #63). There are also multiple bus routes that travel directly past the campus, including route 281 which stops inside the campus. A Deakin shuttle bus – route 201 – provides high frequency services from Box Hill bus port and train station.
The closest major train station and transport hub is Box Hill. Burwood station on the Alamein line and Jordanville station on the Glen Waverley line are also close by.
Drive
It's approximately a 30-minute drive from Melbourne's CBD, depending on traffic. There's quite a few campus carparks but be mindful that they fill quickly – especially at the start of Trimesters 1 and 2.
Cycle
There are many cycling tracks surrounding the campus, so commuting on your bike is a great, scenic option! On campus you'll find plenty of showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bike cage.
Carpool
We provide a free carpool matching service for students and staff. If you're giving someone a lift to campus, you can also use the carpooling car park.
While you're on campus
Deakin University Art Gallery
A vibrant and creative space showcasing our prized art collection and exciting program of exhibitions and arts events, including group and solo exhibitions by significant contemporary Australian artists, travelling exhibitions and selected student, staff and alumni work.

Explore your campus the old-school way. Print it out or download a copy to your phone. Either way, you'll have a handy campus guide at your fingertips.
