We offer scholarships at all levels of study – undergraduate, postgraduate and research, plus a range of scholarships for international students. Use our find a scholarship tool to narrow your search by level of study and student type.
Begin your journey at university with an undergraduate scholarship in your chosen study area. The Deakin-Funded Scholarship Program includes three key scholarships: Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, Deakin Scholarship for Excellence and Deakin Student Support Scholarship. Apply via our Scholarship application portal and be considered for all four scholarships if you meet the eligibility criteria.
Is your ATAR at least 85? You could receive $5000 per year in cash or towards student contributions. Be rewarded for your achievements beyond the classroom.
This scholarship supports students who experience financial or personal hardship, yet display passion, perseverance and commitment to study. You could receive up to $10,000 per year.
Is your ATAR 95 and above? You could receive $5000 per year and have 100% of your tuition fees paid with Deakin’s prestigious Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarship.
This scholarship supports students with outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements who face financial or personal challenges. You could receive $5000 per year in cash or towards student contributions.

Are you a high-achieving recent VCE student from a rural or regional area? You could receive cash payments of up to $24,000 across the duration of your course.
Do you identify as a woman living in rural or regional Victoria who is experiencing financial hardship? You could receive between $21,000 to $28,000.

Do you excel in sports, the arts or community service? You could receive $10,000 per year in cash or towards your student contributions.
Passionate about study but experiencing personal or financial hardship? You could receive up to $10,000 per year in study support.
Our research degree and PhD scholarships will support you during your studies and can cover tuition fees, overseas student health cover or living allowances. For the best chance at securing a scholarship, you’ll need an H1 grade average or equivalent.
Are you a domestic or international student pursuing a higher degree by research? You could be eligible for a stipend of $34,400 per year during your studies.
The National Health and Medical Research Council’s postgraduate scholarships scheme funds successful applicants to attain a research-based postgraduate degree (PhD or a masters degree).
Interested in PhD research in the United States or pursue a US postgraduate program? Non-profit Fulbright Australia promotes educational and cultural exchange between Australia and the US.
