| Professor Yu is chairman of the Department of Economics and Finance in the Faculty of Business at the City University of Hong Kong. The Faculty recently achieved AACSB accreditation. He has a PhD from Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, USA, and has taught at a number of United States and Chinese Universities, including the Universities of Oklahoma, Louisiana State, National Taiwan University and Peoples’ University of Beijing. He has published 5 books and over 130 papers in refereed international economic journals in the areas of International Trade and Economic Development, Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Theory, Regional Economics, and Environmental and Resource Economics. He has been editor of a number of journals and presently sits on a number of editorial boards as well as editing The Journal of Accounting and Economics. He has taught in MBA programs in the United States, Hong Kong and Beijing and has provided input into the Economics units offered within the MBA and MIB at Deakin. Professor Yu is on the Management Board of the Asia Pacific Institute of Business and the Hong Kong Institute of Pacific Studies. He is an effective advocate for Deakin's postgraduate programs in the region. |
