1. Information on how to enter this Competition forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
2. This Competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.
3. This Competition is subject to the following trade promotion permits – ACT Permit No TP 19/03161, New South Wales permit number LTP S/19/33966, South Australia Licence No. T19/598

The Competition

4. This Competition is free to enter and is open to all Open Day participants over the age of 13 years who complete the entry located at www.deakin.edu.au/bring-a-friend and check in at the ‘Win with Deakin’ Open Day stand with an accompanying friend(s) who also checks in.  Registration is open from 3 June 2019 and closes on 24 August 2019 (with varying closing times per campus as set out in clause 11) in the manner set out in these Terms and Conditions.
5. Entrants may bring more than one friend to Open Day. If all requirements in clause 9 are met this will lead to more than one entry into the Grand Prize.  You can only receive one Minor Prize.
6. Employees of Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this Competition.

Competition Period

7. Registration for this Competition commences at 9.00 am AEST on 3 June 2019 and closes at 3.00 pm AEST on 24 August 2019 (with varying closing times per campus as set out in clause 11).
   
   The Prize
8. There are 2756 prizes in total.
   1. The Grand Prize is as follows:
      1. One iPhone XR for the registered entrant and one iPhone XR for the Friend, each valued at $1399.
      2. One visa gift card for the registered entrant and visa gift card for the Friend, each valued at $2000.
   2. Minor Prizes will be as follows:
      1. Warrnambool prize pool will consist of:
         1. One (1) set of Air Pods (total value $200)
         2. Four (4) Deakin Hoodies (total value $140)
         3. One Hundred (100) Metal Tumblers (total value $520)
      2. Waurn Ponds prize pool will consist of at least:
         1. One (1) Apple Watch series 4 (total value $600)
         2. One (1) set of Air Pods (total value $200)
         3. Ten (10) Deakin Hoodies (total value $350)
         4. Five (5) $50 Visa gift cards (total value $250)
         5. Seven Hundred (700) Metal Tumblers (total value $3639)
      3. Waterfront prize pool will consist of at least:
         1. One (1) Apple Watch series 4 (total value $600)
         2. One (1) set of Air Pods (total value $200)
         3. Five (5) Deakin Hoodies (total value $175)
         4. Four Hundred (400) Metal Tumblers (total value $2079)
      4. Burwood prize pool will consist of at least:
         1. One (1) Apple Watch series 4 (total value $600)
         2. One (1) set of Air Pods (total value $200)
         3. Twenty (20) Deakin Hoodies (total value $700)
         4. Five (5) $50 Visa gift cards (total value $250)
         5. One Thousand Five Hundred (1500) Metal Tumblers (total value $7797)

The total prize pool is valued at $25,000.

How to Enter

9. Entrants must complete the following to enter this competition:
   1. Enter at www.deakin.edu.au/bring-a-friend and agree to receive information about opportunities and events at Deakin University, and accept the terms and conditions of the competition by 11.59pm on the day before an Open Day event (event times listed in clause 11).
   2. Bring a friend with them to the Open Day event.
   3. Check-in at an Open Day event at the location stated in Clause 11 with their friend(s).
   4. The friend(s) must complete their entry details at the check-in location, agree to receive information about opportunities and events at Deakin University and accept the terms and conditions of entry.
10. Entrants and their friend who complete the steps in Clause 9 will automatically receive one entry into this Competition.

    2. Geelong Waterfront Campus, 18 August 2019, 10am-3pm

       1. Check In for competition is at the Union Green
    4. Burwood Campus, 25 August 2019, 10am-3pm
       1. Check In for competition is on the Spine, outside Building X

Selection and Notification of Winners

12. Minor Prize winners will be selected electronically by a random draw application with prizes awarded on the spot to eligible entrants.
13. In the event that the demand for minor prizes exceeds the number of prizes listed above at each event Deakin University will need to stop awarding prizes for that event.
14. In the event that the demand for minor prizes was not exceeded at an event Deakin University may transfer the prizes to a subsequent Open Day 2019 event.
15. To be eligible for the Grand Prize draw, the entrant and friend must complete all steps required in Clause 9.  Each entrant/friend combination will considered one entry for the purposes of drawing the Grand Prize.
16. In the event that a person under the age of 17 wins, Deakin will require a parent/guardian to claim the Major Prize on their behalf.
17. The Major Prize draw will be conducted on 30 August 2019 at 10am at Marketing Division at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria using www.randomdraws.com.au. There will be a person independent of Deakin University present to scrutinise this draw.
18. Major Prize winners will be notified by phone or email. The names of the winners will also be published online at www.deakin.edu.au/bring-a-friend from Monday 2 September 2019. Winners must be available to collect the prize from Deakin University’s Burwood Campus or must make arrangements for shipping of the prize to them at their own risk and expense. The winner will be listed at www.deakin.edu.au/bring-a-friend
19. If the Major Prize winner of a prize does not claim the prize within 3 months of the date of the draw, a re-draw will be conducted on Friday 6 December at 10am. In the event that this draw is required the prize winner will be published at www.deakin.edu.au/bring-a-friend from Monday 7 December 2019.
20. Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

Consent to Promotion

21. Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants agree to make themselves available for photograph and interview in the event theirs is the winning entry and if requested by Deakin.
