From our beginnings as Victoria’s first regional university 45 years ago, to our current ranking among the top one per cent of universities worldwide, we have had a consistent goal – to work in partnership with local and international industries, governments, communities and educational organisations to make a difference in the world.

As your Vice-Chancellor, I am honoured and greatly privileged to lead Deakin and continue the ambitious strategy of addressing the challenges and opportunities of the future to benefit our communities and Australia more widely.

As one of Australia’s largest universities, Deakin has strong global linkages, world-class research and, most importantly, an educational portfolio that blends the best of campus and digital delivery into a highly supportive and personalised student experience.
